Event searches begin with a specific need

People looking for entertainment may start with the kind of show, the event they are organizing or a name they already recognize. Big Top Entertainment’s website presents separate shows and entertainment pages, making that distinction useful to its search strategy. The challenge is helping an organizer reach suitable information quickly, while giving broader research queries an appropriate introduction to the available offering.

Research came before implementation

In 2015, we worked with Lana Thomas on keyword research for Big Top Entertainment. The brief focused on search opportunities in the Australian event and entertainment market and on using those insights to inform content planning. Research provided a starting point for deciding which themes deserved dedicated content and how the available entertainment could be described in the audience’s language.

Current rankings show a small search footprint

Semrush’s August 2026 Australia snapshot records 13 ranking keywords and zero estimated organic traffic. One keyword sits in the top ten. The current sample includes ‘circus big top’ at position eight on the About page, alongside the homepage, shows, entertainment and videos pages. Traffic was estimated at nine in August 2025 and peaked at 24 in November within the most recent twelve-month period. The small footprint makes specific, relevant event searches a useful starting point for further investigation.

A renewed plan should reflect today’s offering

A future phase could confirm the current shows, audience and service areas, then organize pages around the event intentions that matter most to the business. Enquiry tracking would help distinguish useful organiser interest from general entertainment browsing. Before making recommendations, the site’s present availability and page structure should also be reviewed. A focused enquiry journey would then help organizers move from a suitable show or service to a practical conversation.
