A specialist electronics catalogue

Universal Solder is a Canadian electronics retailer with components, modules, sensors, displays and DIY kits for electronics projects. Its catalogue serves people searching for precise technical items as well as people exploring a project. Organic discovery and the quality of product information are therefore useful areas to study together.

A substantial search audience with a modest decline

Organic Search generated 9,281 sessions during June–August, compared with 9,724 during March–May. Engaged organic sessions moved from 5,500 to 5,265, while the engagement rate stayed close to its previous level: 56.73% versus 56.56%. The audience remained substantial, but the quarter comparison does not show organic traffic growth.

More recorded interaction per search visit

Average engagement time per organic session increased from 1 minute 32 seconds to 1 minute 54 seconds. Events per organic session increased from 9.10 to 10.96, and the organic event count increased from 88,486 to 101,752. These measures suggest more recorded interaction per visit. They do not establish that more products were bought or that the events represent successful shopping journeys.

Why the headline traffic spike needs care

Total sessions jumped from 36,895 to 378,274, largely because Direct sessions increased from 18,912 to 362,568. Direct accounted for 95.85% of current-period sessions and averaged six seconds of engagement per session. This pattern warrants investigation of traffic quality, tagging and attribution. The report alone cannot prove bots or identify the cause, and the overall increase is not presented here as an SEO achievement.

The commercial measurement opportunity

Zero key events and zero revenue were recorded in this report for both periods. No saved explorations were available during the review. A practical next step is to validate ecommerce tracking against completed orders, inspect landing-page and device patterns behind the Direct spike, and evaluate the organic audience through product views and purchases. CANADUINO has a separate property and case study; its figures are not merged into this result.

HOW TO READ THESE RESULTS

Measurement context.

Analytics reviewed in Anu’s signed-in GA4 session on 11 September 2026. Both comparison periods contain 92 days. The report uses Session primary channel group (Default Channel Group).

Sessions are visits, not unique people. Key events are configured Analytics events and are not necessarily distinct enquiries or purchases. No sales or lead increase is asserted without validated event evidence.

Analytics alone does not establish tracking continuity, seasonality or which marketing work caused a change. Recommendations in this profile describe future investigation, not verified services delivered.
