The business and its search audience

Family-law searches combine an immediate legal need with a strong location signal. A person looking for a divorce lawyer in Arizona needs to find the appropriate practice information and understand where the firm can help. Modern Law’s SEO project addressed that competitive environment through relevant search targeting, clear practice-area pages and content that responds to the questions prospective clients bring to search.

The work we carried out

We worked with Billie Tarascio in 2021. The scope included family-law keyword research, competitor and market analysis, on-page optimisation, content improvements and off-page authority building. Performance monitoring was part of the approach. Arizona and competitive markets such as Phoenix were central, with divorce and family-law terms shaping the search strategy.

The original Arizona legal-search strategy

The 2021 brief focused on strengthening an established family-law firm’s organic presence across competitive Arizona searches, including Phoenix. Research covered divorce and family-law terms, the local competitive landscape and the relationship between a searcher’s need and the appropriate practice-area page. The strategy combined on-page improvements, content refinement, off-page backlink acquisition and ongoing ranking monitoring.

The earlier case summary reported more than 300 keywords in Google’s top ten. Its accompanying worksheet specifically lists “family law attorneys Arizona” and “divorce lawyers Phoenix” at position 8, and “Arizona divorce attorneys” and “Arizona divorce lawyers” at position 10. Each of those four rows shows a search-volume figure of 12,100. These are historical worksheet observations; the file does not display a capture date, and the broader 300-plus total cannot be independently recalculated from that ten-row image.

A second retained report identifies mymodernlaw.com and shows informational pages about using a paralegal for divorce, the difference between a barrister and a solicitor, special warranty deeds and lying under oath, alongside a Tucson family-law page. That mix illustrates the earlier emphasis on both legal-service searches and explanatory content. The original case described improved visibility and relevant traffic, but did not provide verified consultation or revenue totals.

What the search review reveals

The August 2026 US snapshot records 6,499 tracked keywords, including 645 in positions 1–10, and 12,771 estimated organic visits. The current keyword sample includes “divorce lawyers near me” at position 4 for a Tucson family-law page. The history is above August 2025 but below June 2026. Current page-level traffic totals do not reconcile with that dated domain snapshot, so this narrative does not combine those figures.

A practical next phase

A useful next phase would review each city page against the firm’s current service coverage and connect it clearly to the relevant practice areas. Legal information should remain accurate and receive suitable professional review. Calls and consultation requests should be measured with consistent definitions, so reporting can distinguish a broad legal-information audience from people actually seeking representation in a location the firm serves.
