An experience-led hospitality business

Le Private Chef’s Australian website presents private-chef and catering services in Sydney, including private occasions and corporate events. Visitors are evaluating an experience as well as a menu: suitability for their occasion, practical arrangements and the route to an enquiry matter. The Analytics review separates overall discovery from search-specific performance.

The overall audience grew by 255 visits

Total sessions increased from 2,507 in March–May to 2,762 in June–August, a rise of 10.17%. Engaged sessions rose from 2,147 to 2,232. However, the overall engagement rate decreased from 85.64% to 80.81%, and average engagement time moved from 22 to 20 seconds. There were more recorded visits, with a different engagement mix.

Direct traffic drove a different story from search

Direct sessions increased from 446 to 1,067. Organic Search declined from 1,601 to 1,314, while engaged organic sessions decreased from 1,504 to 1,248. The organic engagement rate remained high at 94.98%, compared with 93.94%. The total-traffic increase should therefore not be described as SEO growth. Direct is a channel classification, not proof of a specific campaign or offline source.

Recorded key events need a precise definition

Filtering the key-event column to generate_lead revealed 20 recorded events across all channels, compared with 17: three additional occurrences, or 17.65%. Organic Search accounted for nine compared with 14, a 35.71% decline. The all-event totals were 20 and 18 because the previous period included another event type. Keeping the named event separate makes the comparison more precise.

The event name indicates intended lead measurement, but its firing conditions and deduplication were not independently tested against enquiries or bookings. These figures are recorded generate_lead occurrences, not a verified count of unique prospective customers. Session key event rate in the screenshot remains set to All events and should not be read as a generate_lead-only rate.

A useful next step for hospitality

The next review should connect event and private-dining landing pages to validated enquiry completions, then evaluate the suitability of those enquiries against actual bookings. The 33 sessions classified as AI Assistant in the current period are a small additional discovery signal, not proof of an AI-search campaign result. Service-page and enquiry-flow reviews would make the acquisition data more commercially useful.

HOW TO READ THESE RESULTS

Measurement context.

Analytics reviewed in Anu’s signed-in GA4 session on 11 September 2026. Both comparison periods contain 92 days. The report uses Session primary channel group (Default Channel Group).

Sessions are visits, not unique people. Key events are configured Analytics events and are not necessarily distinct enquiries or purchases. No sales or lead increase is asserted without validated event evidence.

Analytics alone does not establish tracking continuity, seasonality or which marketing work caused a change. Recommendations in this profile describe future investigation, not verified services delivered.
