Helping a local restoration service get considered
Dynamic Floor Refinishing provides wood-floor sanding and restoration for homes and businesses. Its public website covers Manchester and Liverpool and presents services including parquet restoration, staining, oiling and commercial flooring. Visitors are invited to request an estimate or arrange service, making the website a place to assess the work before starting a conversation.
The search opportunity is specific: reach someone evaluating restoration for a particular floor, property or location, then help that person make an informed enquiry. This case examines whether the recorded traffic is moving in that direction. It combines the quarter’s acquisition results with a named form event and a separate, shorter saved exploration.
A current GA4 overview shows the activity picture
From 1 April to 20 September 2026, the GA4 Home overview recorded 483 active users, 4.2K events, 15 key events and 795 sessions. Active users were up 408.4%, event count was up 259.4% and sessions were up 311.9% against the comparison shown in GA4.
These are property-wide recorded measures. The overview does not identify the event names, traffic source or whether a key event represents a unique or qualified enquiry. The earlier acquisition and form reports below provide more specific channel and event context.
The earlier channel report showed organic search leading visits
Between 1 June and 31 August 2026, GA4 attributed 273 sessions to Organic Search. The previous 92 days, 1 March–31 May, recorded 241. That is an increase of 32 sessions, or 13.28%. Total website sessions rose more slowly, from 421 to 443, a 5.23% increase.
Organic Search represented 61.63% of the recent period’s sessions, up from 57.24%. Its contribution matters beyond the percentage increase: it was the largest recorded traffic channel in the selected period. Direct supplied 107 sessions, followed by smaller volumes from Organic Social, Referral and other channels. This distribution gives a useful reason to examine the organic landing-page experience closely when deciding where the next website review should focus.
The earlier period also showed an engagement gap
Engaged organic sessions were almost unchanged: 169 in June–August, compared with 168 in March–May. As the total number of organic visits grew, the engagement rate fell from 69.71% to 61.9%. Average engagement time per session also moved slightly lower, from 56 to 54 seconds.
This is an actionable distinction. More sessions arriving through search does not automatically mean a proportionate increase in engaged visits. A next review could identify which pages received the additional sessions and whether their content matches the service and location a visitor expects. The report does not identify the reason for the change, but it does point to the next question: how can a larger search audience find the relevant information and enquiry route more easily?
The earlier form report added channel detail
The named submit_lead_form key event recorded eight occurrences across all traffic sources in June–August. Five were attributed to Organic Search and three to Direct. This connects the dominant traffic channel with a specific recorded contact action, rather than relying on a generic total of unrelated events.
The preceding period recorded zero of these key events. That is a reporting boundary, not proof that there were previously no enquiries. Tracking history, duplicate submissions, delivery and qualification were not independently established by this review. The defensible result is eight recorded occurrences of the named form event, including five from Organic Search. A future connection to received enquiries and accepted estimates would make the commercial meaning clearer.
The saved exploration adds a recent view
A saved report titled GBP vs Website Organic Leads uses Event count with the exact submit_lead_form filter. In its original seven-day window, 3–9 September 2026, it recorded five events. The Session campaign rows were (direct) with two, (not set) with one and (organic) with two. The report indicated mostly complete data.
Despite the report title, those campaign labels alone do not reliably separate Google Business Profile enquiries from other organic visits. The exploration also could not apply the requested June start, so the visible seven-day range was preserved and reported as such. Its five events are a separate later-period observation; they are not the same five organic key events in the quarter report. Clear scopes make both reports useful without mixing their totals.
A practical next phase for search and enquiries
The twelve-month acquisition chart provides perspective: recorded activity appears around February 2026 and then fluctuates through August. The selected quarter improves on the preceding quarter, but the line does not climb every month. That makes a measured next phase more useful than simply extrapolating the percentage increase.
The next priorities would be to review organic landing pages by service and location, make the estimate journey easy to follow, and reconcile form events with actual received enquiries. Campaign tagging could also be reviewed before using the saved report to compare Business Profile and website activity. These recommendations have not been presented as work already delivered. The current evidence establishes a solid question to pursue: with search supplying most visits and five recorded form key events, which improvements could help more relevant visitors progress to a useful conversation?

Active users, event count, key events and sessions are recorded measures; they are not verified unique enquiries, qualified leads or revenue.
Analytics source: the dynamicfloorrefinishing.co.uk GA4 property, inspected on 10 September 2026. Traffic acquisition compares the Organic Search row under Session primary channel group (Default channel group) across two equal 92-day periods. The standard report indicated 100% of available data.
Quarter form figures use Key events with submit_lead_form selected: eight all-source occurrences, including five Organic Search and three Direct. The earlier period recorded zero. These are not verified counts of unique people, qualified leads, booked work or revenue.
The saved GBP vs Website Organic Leads exploration uses Event count and Event name exactly matches submit_lead_form, broken down by Session campaign. Its actual period remained 3–9 September 2026 when an earlier start could not be applied. The original view was preserved; it indicated mostly complete data. The report title does not establish that its campaign rows distinguish Google Business Profile from other organic traffic.
The annual chart covers 1 September 2025–31 August 2026 and has a limited early baseline. The reports do not establish which marketing action caused a change or verify historical tracking continuity. Recommendations describe future work. Screenshots are original GA4 captures, and business context is sourced from the client’s public website.
